More about my motivation

Why did I join this class? It's just a matter I think of wanting to gather together all the different bits of "flexible learning" technologies together. When you learn things in an ad hoc way you just skim around picking up bits that seem more interesting than their neighbours. One useful aspect of a course is to give a coherence to the eclectic bits and make it look like a structure rather than just a sad album of semi-learned skills.

what a lot of very profound words. I think you are saying that being in this group might help you sort and classify the very important bits and pieces of technoknowledge you have? I'm in awe of your knowledge and I guess that being part of the Elluminate discussions will give you an insight into the continuum of knowledge, skill and importantly confidence people in this group have. I look forward to continuing engagement. (I'm your original naive inquirer).

  2. I think (or rather I should say hope) what you'll get from this course is the experience of being in a community or network of learners that have come together because of their love of learning, as opposed to because they have to.

One person to watch is Willie. She is a wonderful 'network weaver' - someone that weaves in and out the blogs, making people think, encouraging, and weaving people together :)
